First Look at Motorola Cliq 2 for T-Mobile

Motorola and T-Mobile appear to be prepping a follow-up to their Cliq with a nearly identical looking device, dubbed the Cliq 2.  Not a great deal has changed in the design department, save for an ugly looking keyboard that resembles alligator skin. We’re waiting to hear what the internal situation is but we don’t anticipate anything super.  Known details include a 5-megapixel camera with LED flash, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, aGPS, WiFi (802.11 b/g/n) and MotoBlur.

Being that T-Mobile has been pushing their HSPA+ stuff pretty heavily, it’s possible this will feature support for the 4G network.  We expect to hear more at CES next week as T-Mobile is rumored to loose this one on us come January 19th.

Really why bother, don’t get me wrong if someone wants to get this phone by all means do so only if you know the history. I came from a Hero (sprint) Cliq xt and now EVO, when I purchased the hero it already had 2.1, EVO 2.2 I had the XT for a couple of months (2 or 3 weeks after release date) and I was on ver 1.5 waiting, waiting, with nothing more than broken promises, till this date I believe the XT still has 1.5.

The cliq was a mess of a phone from day one with battery issues. They need to stop production of this and roll out a better strategy of getting updates out sooner, fixing battery problems and other issues so they can make a quality product like HTC. Want little to no problems out of your phone folks? Three letters HTC.
