ViewSonic To Show Tablet Computer With Phone Functions At CES

According to two people who work for the company, ViewSonic Corp. is expected to introduce a phone-tablet computer hybrid that can support next-generation wireless connections at an electronics industry trade show next week.

The Wall Street Journal posted an article about the new Tablet from Viewsonic.  They stated that the new Tab will have a 4″ screen, will make voice calls, and will be announced at the CES.

The aim of the new tablet is to integrate the voice and data together so the consumer can carry only one device.

    Most people would call something that makes phone calls with a 4 inch screen a smartphone. Take the Samsung Galaxy S or Nexus S for example. I don’t think “next gen wireless” is a feature that turns a smartphone into a phone tablet computer hybrid. “Integrating voice and data together!?” Now that’s innovation.
