Rumor: Facebook to Launch Phone at M.W.C.

The rumors are back: Facebook will be releasing their own phones. At least according to an article by the U.K.’s City A.M., which was also an early source of Nexus S rumors. Details are still sketchy, but word is the two phones, made by HTC, will run a modified version of Android that will rely heavily on integrated Facebook features like the news feed and messages.

City A.M. says HTC will announce the partnership at the M.W.C. event in February

While all this is still rumor for the time being, it’s one that’s been persistent. What do you think: assuming the specs and price matched up, would you be inclined to buy a phone centered around Facebook over another Android device?

Personally, I wouldn’t buy a Facebook phone but I would be interested to see how it would work because as far as I’m concerned, Facebook sucks on all mobile platforms. Yes….. iOS included.
