Google Announces Android Event For Wednesday, Feb. 2

“A Taste of What’s New from Android” is the headline of an email Google sent to press today. They are hosting an Android-specific event this coming Wednesday, February 2, in Mountain View. The event will feature “an in-depth look at Honeycomb, Android ecosystem news, and hands-on demos.”

What could the Big G be announcing? We do know from CES that they did not showcase everything that Honeycomb has to offer. Maybe a Honeycomb tie-in for phones? Plans to decrease “fragmentation”? A Nexus tablet? Who knows!

The presentation begins at 10:00 a.m. PST on Wednesday, February 2, and will be live streamed to youtube.com/android.

Begin speculation!
