Xperia PLAY Becomes Official Mobile Handset of Major League Gaming

Sony Ericsson and Major League Gaming (MLG) have paired up and made the Xperia PLAY the official mobile handset of Major League Gaming. Granted, the field of mobile handsets designed around gaming is rather slim, it’s nice to see the phone recognized for its capabilities. We’re sure the handset will gain some decent exposure considering the MLG community is 8 million people strong and growing.

We can imagine the Xperia PLAY will be on display at the Pro Circuit competitions that are held across the country (US) and online. The new season of MLG starts next month (April 1) in Dallas, Texas and will feature demonstrations, giveaways and more. If you count yourself among the active gaming community and want to get a look at the Xperia PLAY, be sure to check out the MLG site for dates and venues.
