Read It Later Arrives on Android and We Say Download it Now

After 3.5 years and 3 million users, the popular service that is Read It Later, finally arrives on Android.  What does this mean to you?  Simple, it means that you can take webpages with you wherever you go, regardless of internet connection.  Have a bunch of articles you wish you could read later?  Well, duh.  This app does that.  Forget saving bookmarks in your browser that you’ll never open again.  The app takes articles from whatever source you feed it from (PC, browser, handset, and more than 130 supported apps) and converts it to a clean, easy to read format.  Taking just the text and images from your sources, it gives everything one consistent look and makes it a breeze to peruse.  

Unlike its iPhone counterpart, the Android version of Read It Later provides instant sync, pushing articles directly to your device.  No wires, no hassle.  Just go about your business, saving articles to your account as you come across them.  Later, when you are relaxing on the couch with your new XOOM, open the app and catch up!  This also means that your subway ride home will work too, since the articles are pushed immediately and do not require a data connection later.

    I used to use Read It Later but have been pretty happy with Instapaper and Everpaper lately. Any compelling reasons to switch back?

    Anyone try For Later? It’s really simple and uses Google Bookmarks instead of requiring a new account to setup.
