Amazon App Store Scores Angry Birds Rio Exclusive

Let’s say you are about to open the doors on a new Android app store, and you’re looking to attract attention. What do you do to make sure people know about you and flock* to your distribution model?  You toss out an exclusive Angry Birds title, that’s what.

Amazon, gearing up to launch their new app store, has partnered with Rovio Mobile to bring their new “Rio” edition of Angry Birds to Android.  Much like GetJar did late last year, they have an exclusive agreement to offer the game.  With the movie getting released in little over a month, we’re fully expecting to see the Amazon store open in short order.  Let’s hope their servers can handle the demand.

*See what we did there?
