NOOK Color To Get App Store and Flash In April
It looks like NOOK Color users will soon have less of an incentive to root their devices. Come April, the NOOK is about to change in a pretty significant way. In addition to adding Adobe Flash support, there will be an official Barnes & Noble NOOK Store for various types of apps (Angry Birds included). An email app will also be available, allowing users easy access without the need to visit a website.

At the price of $250, the NOOK Color might really be the most affordable tablet-like Android device on the market (rooted or not). Since Flash isn’t compatible with pre-Froyo versions of Android, it also makes sense to assume that the update will bump the NOOK Color to Android 2.2.
