Hands-on with the Sprint EVO 3D at CTIA 2011 [VIDEO]

All of us AndroidGuys were excited to hear about Sprint‘s big and bad new Android device.  The news leaked prior to the Press Conference at CTIA 2011 but the suspense still remained.

Awesome specs, including a 1.2ghz dual core Snapdragon MSM8660 with 4GB ROM and 1GB RAM, put this at the top of the class.  It will launch with Gingerbread (Android 2.3) and debut a new version of HTC Sense.  I am dubbing this version “Sense 3G” as HTC doesn’t have a name for it.  It’s not Sense 2.0 or Sense 2.1, so Sense 3G it is!

With all this in mind, if we wanted to have some fun we could easily announce this device as the:

Sprint HTC EVO 3D 4G Running HTC Sense 3G”

Perfect!  Check out the video after the break!

I said before I saw the announcement and even as I was watching that there was simply no way I’d want a 3D device, but aside from the 3D this phone is the absolute upgrade for the EVO. I’ll for sure pick one up in the fall!

    • I also said that!! It really is not the type of 3D experience you would expect!!! I really really really think I will upgrade my EVO this summer 🙂

What’s the scoop on the battery life?

Is it me or does the EVO 3D look very very zippy? I mean, all the hands on it appears that it’s smooth and fast afa screen response and app transitions etc.

  • Can’t wait to see this in person. At the Sprint store when it comes out.
