Android’s Andy Rubin Gets Promoted
The Wall Street Journal is reporting today that newly minted Google CEO Larry Page has promoted Android head Andy Rubin today, along with six other executives in Google.
Rubin will now report directly to Page, and this promotion looks to be a sign of how Page wants to run things at Google, shortening communication lines and cutting through cumbersome processes.
This can also be seen as another signal that Android is a major part of the future of Google, which gives us all a fuzzy wuzzy happy moment for sure! Congrats Andy, well deserved!
