T-Mobile G2 getting Gingerbread this summer?

Last year, T-Mobile USA launched the T-Mobile G2, which is a true successor to the first Android powered phone known as the T-mobile G1. The T-Mobile G2 is an amazing phone and it brings a true Google experience to the users. Android 2.3 Gingerbread has been out a long time now and already available on several handsets. G2 users have been dying to get it but they are not able to without modifying their handsets. But there is hope! According to ComputerWorld, T-Mobile G2 will get Android 2.3 update this summer. This is a rumor right now of course, but it is nice to hear a rumor like this, hopefully we see it come to fruition! We heard in February that HTC Desire, Desire Z, Desire HD and Incredible S will receive Gingerbread in Q2. As Desire Z is a European version of G2, so I am sure that both handsets will receive it in the same period. Anyway, you can expect a Gingerbread update this summer as your summer gift.

If you looking forward to buy G2, then don’t forget to read our review first !

Atrix 4G Rooted, Dumped Ahead of Launch

Been considering an Atrix 4G, but worried that, given Motorola’s track record of locking down its handsets, it might be a while before it’s rooted? Well that worry is out the window: Moto’s new dual-core superphone has been rooted before it has even seen official release by AT&T.
