Orange UK Officially Announces Motorola Atrix, Launching Next Month for Free!
At CES 2011, Motorola officially announced the Motorola Atrix 4G, which is their first ever dual-core device. The Atrix is an amazing device and it was exclusive to AT&T in the States, until now. The Atrix is headed to the UK, joining Orange UK’s lineup. Orange UK has officially announced the device, along with pricing and the release date, of course. Orange UK is Motorola’s exclusive partner in the UK for the Atrix, and keep in mind that it’s known as Atrix in UK, not Atrix 4G. They are launching it for free with a 2 year contract of £35 per month. The offer includes 600 minutes, 750 MB of data, unlimited texts and 50 MMS messages. Orange is also offering a “Work and Play kit”. The kit includes a keyboard, mouse, multimedia dock, and a remote control, all for £49. But if you are already an Orange customer, and are looking forward to upgrading your contract with Orange by getting the Atrix, then you will get the kit for free. If you are looking forward to the Atrix laptop dock, then you can get it for £299.99, but Orange said that it will be available on the cheaper side for selected tariffs.
I’m pretty sure that the Atrix will give a great boost to Orange’s smartphone line. Since they are also launching the Sensation and Galaxy S II in the near future, I am sure their smartphone line will blow other carriers out of the water. Anyway, check out the video of the Atrix 4G below, posted by Orange.
So, who’s planning to pick up an Atrix?
