U.S. Cellular Confirms XOOM for Early Summer

A U.S. Cellular spokesman has confirmed that the carrier will begin carrying the Motorola XOOM later this year.

After hearing rumors and seeing a leaked document earlier this week, we checked in with the Chicago-based carrier, and a contact there confirmed that the device is on their roadmap, with Motorola’s Honeycomb-based tablet slated to hit U.S. Cellular stores in “early summer.” No further details are available yet about pricing or the exact hardware configuration, but we’ll keep you posted as we learn more.
