Getjar Embraces Social Media with Facebook Connect Integration
GetJar announced this week that they are the first leading application store to embrace social networking. Since many users from the Getjar and other portals don’t really “discover” apps on their own, a majority of them turn to others for insight. Often that insight comes from friends, both real and virtual. Thus Getjar turns to Facebook Connect for its ability to apply recommendation and sharing. You trust your friend’s opinion right?
As part of the new Getjar system, users can leave comments on wall posts and news feeds as well as Like or Dislike apps. Further, consumers will be able to track their own history through My Apps, or navigate a more streamlined user interface. And for those of you who don’t have any “friends”, you can still browse the “Top Apps” and “Just In” section.
Head to Getjar through your phone today to try out the new setup!
