Virgin Mobile’s Samsung Intercept to Receive Froyo in the Coming Weeks

Virgin Mobile is one of the largest pre-paid networks in the USA. They are offering a few Android powered devices, and the Samsung Intercept is one of them. The Virgin Mobile version of the Intercept is the same that has been released on Sprint, but with one glaring difference, the Sprint version has already been updated to 2.2. There was word back in January that Virgin Mobile will launch Android 2.2 for Intercept in few months, and it looks like the time is here. INQ Launches the Cloud Touch Facebook Handset

Engadget is reporting today that INQ has launched the Cloud Touch handset in the UK, firing the first shot in what is sure to be the "Facebook Phone Wars". While HTC is preparing to release two handsets that have dedicated Facebook buttons this summer, INQ decided to beat the "quietly brilliant" company to the punch. Hasbro to Bring Their Characters to Life on Android

As a dad with kids who are as fascinated as I am with cool electronic toys, I am always on the lookout for apps that they can play and interact with as an alternative to just using them for gaming. During my morning rounds of the press releases for the day, I came across a presser from Hasbro and Ruckus Mobile Media, talking about how the two are coming together to bring characters from Hasbro like Tonka Chuck, My Little Pony and Transformers Prime to Android devices. UK to get Galaxy S 2 May 1

It has been interesting to see the release process for the Galaxy line of devices from Samsung, releasing first in the UK and other overseas destinations (excluding Japan and China which seem to get all the cool toys first). Samsung has announced today that they are keeping in that tradition by reporting via press release that they will be releasing the Galaxy S 2 on May 1st in the UK. Successor to the very popular line of Galaxy handsets, the S 2 brings with it more processing power via a dual core processor, plus an upgrade to the Super AMOLED screens, called Super AMOLED Plus.
