‘Ice Cream Sandwich’ All But Officially Confirmed as Next Android Release

We’d been hearing for a few months now that the next release of Android would either be Ice Cream or Ice Cream Sandwich.  Both sound tasty to us and we’re looking forward to seeing the future of the platform either way.  According to Google’s own Romain Guy we should expect it be be the latter.  An answer to a question/issue in the AOSP Issues Forum has him mentioning the name of the release although there is no sign of a version number.  Perhaps we’ll get more details, and maybe a full unveiling,  next week at Google I/O?
