Samsung Infuse 4G "Spider" Ad [VIDEO]

“The new Samsung Infuse 4G features colors so real that it’s almost unreal. Our new TV commercial, “Spider”, shows what can happen when someone has the big, brilliant Samsung Infuse 4G, with large screen and brilliant colors. The Big, Brilliant, Thin Samsung Infuse 4G. Only from the Network of Possibilities. AT&T.”

  • Mikexilva

I though she was going to say, soo huge….

  • ally

i can watch this over and over!  very clever

    • Joe

How much did they pay you to say that fool?

  • http://twitter.com/Saad073 Saad Hashmi

I’ll admit, that was really clever

  • Roedy Green

This commercial is clever, but when you hear it over and over all that realistic panicked screaming is downright irritating.  Samsung does not have the right to subject the public to this “crying wolf” commercial.

  • likes to laugh

This commercial was not clever..it was down right hilarious!!!!!!!!!!!…

Has anyone at Samsung looked at youtube lately? Everyone is sick of the commercial and complaining. It’s time to pull that commercial Samsung. It was funny ONE TIME. We are done, done, done listening to the irritatingly screaming woman…and then the man smashing the table over and over again. That was overkill to begin with. No one in marketing or your advertising agency saw this coming? Was everyone associated with creating and producing this commercial so short-sighted, they never considered it may be a one-shot deal as far as being funny? Last night, we muted the TV the third time it aired within a short time span. Tonight we began switching channels when it came on and plan to do the same from now on. And from what I read at youtube and other sites, we are not the only ones. Other advertisers, beware. If your ads are running after this annoying commercial, no one is watching. The same for the networks — people are tuning out. They’ve left the room, are surfing other stations, watching the news or checking out the movie channels for something without commercials.  I wouldn’t buy an Infuse or any Samsung product now if I wanted one. It’s bad enough I have to turn down commercials because they are louder than the programming.

For the love of God I am begging you to discontinue this commercial. I try to mute it as fast as possible  but sometimes I can’t find the remote fast enough. Obnoxious is not nearly enough to describe how annoying this putrid excuse for a commercial this is. The marketing or advertising agency that advised you to go with this should not only be fired but requested to retroactively refund any money you paid to them. This is beyond bad and would NEVER entice me (or I would think anyone else) to purchase a phone or anything else from you. This is nothing short of torture.

    • debnair

Oh my god; please, please, please get this ad off the air! I, too, dart for my remote to change channel when this ad begins to air. How in the world this ad passed your committee to be aired, God only knows!!!!! I truly cringe when I hear the ad! Ditto, bootsaddison!

  • Jojo

This commercial is not clever. Anyone who believes it is clever is stupid and has poor taste.

    • Bill

Wow, I actually thought it was funny and I’m in advertising. You’re angry and have no friends.

      • donna j hart

I worked in advertising for years.I have friends in advertising now, The consensus: we all thought it was funny one, maybe two times. No we hate it. But that is beside the point. We create and produce advertising that appeals to the target audience; then ensure they remember the name of the product, can connect it with a brand and respond to the the call to buy it.

Right now, I perceive Sam Sung struggling without the budget required to stop, review and and come  up with something new — something easier on the ears that won’t have audience members writing  hate letters to Samsung. Or perhaps no one has the balls to tell the boss or client this atrocity has got to go away. Or the creative director has a drug problem and is reporting false focus group results because she has embezzled from her budget to buy drugs?

I didn’t see it for a week and thought it had been pulled. But it popped up again today. My fiance and I both made a dive for the remote to click on mute.

Nothing about this commercial reflects taste, expertise, or anything remotely resembling an ability to tap into the likes and dislikes of the purchasing public.  NOTHING.

      • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_EYMJZSSBYUZ4KXLIXWZA6VFYHM Harleygrl

And your comments reflect your total disconnect from all things public opinion.  All your taste is in your MOUTH – now SHUT IT and go get some really strong mouthwash before you lose your job.

  • Cindy

Wow guys… some people really need a life.

  • Joe

Please please please make it stop!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • DGrant

The screaming woman makes me want to BOYCOTT anything made by this company.  I don’t know whose idea this screaming commercial was, but they completely missed the boat and should be FIRED.  The advertising or marketing agency should be forced to eat this one – it’s horrible.  REALLY horrible, and I don’t know ANYONE who’s motivated to make a purchase based on this horrible commercial.

    • Schandle

I think this commercial is great! The girl’s scream is very funny. So is the guy with the shoe. I smile every time I see it.

    • Joesuser666

This commercial is hilarious!!!  Laughed my arse off.  I think people are taking this commercial to literally.  Duh, anyone can tell its not a real spider.  I don’t understand why people dislike this commercial so violently.

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_TZCK2JIB32V3PA7YB4LE5VRTZU Erika

As soon as I hear all of that nerve racking screaming, that’s when I know it’s that commercial and EWWWWWWWWW!  I just want to pick up a brick and throw at the TV and instead of breaking it, the brick would hit that sickening woman in the mouth but what I would do is change the channel.

  • Mel

I too…HATE this commercial. So much so..that I sought out a place to complain about it!!!

    • Jmarie1

Oh god,  it is the worst commercial ever released.  I thank the stars for the mute button and hate it hate it hate it.  I will never buy anything samsung Ever!

  • bootsaddison

There are not enough words to tell you or anyone else that will listen how much I hate, despise, abhor, loathe, detest this odious, abominable, repulsive, loathsome, offensive, disgusting,  disagreeable, unfortunate poor excuse for a commercial. If you think this is something that would entice ANYONE to purchase a product from you, you are completely unqualified for your job and have as much idea as what would constitute a remotely passable commercial as would a pig in a tutu. Whatever anyone is paying you is a million times too much. Please, please, please, in the name of all that is holy, sane, and should be reasonably expected of a sane public to withstand, be kind to your fellow man and discontinue this uncivilized and unneeded worthless piece of trash before you cause half of the population to go postal just because we could not reach the remote and mute button fast enough. Your ignorance should not  be foisted on the rest of us at such a repeated degree just because you have no business being employed at your level. Go work at a convenience store, as a parking lot attendant, or anything else that requires no thought and leave the rest of us to watch television without being assaulted by your ignorance.

take notice to the women. Her drink is on the table while the guy is hitting the phone. In the last scene she is holding her glass and it is empty.

I think this ad is very effective.  I’m usually very annoyed by commercials, but this one cracked me up the first few times I saw it and never has bothered me.  The fact SO many people are talking about it — BAD and good — shows it’s effectiveness.  People have been posting about it on Facebook, blogs, etc. etc.

  • flybonics

cant belive samsung paid someone to come up with this—if it comes up on the tv, i immediately change the channel, so much for the programming they are loosing, literally, if i was ever compelled to buy anything from samsug in the past, this has all left me—it’s spookey, i’ve never had a commercial effect me so negatively–would rather watch someone killing kittens than watch this, and i love kittens

  • Caridad7

I thought I am the only one who hates this commercial. The first time I saw it, it is hilarious but now it’s annoyingggggggggggggggggggggg to the max! Like other I tried to mute my tv everytime I see this. Pleaseeeeeeee get this commercial outa hear.
