Sony Ericsson Gearing Up for New Devices, Shots Leaked

Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 was launched last year as SE’s flagship device, but the device pretty much failed because it didn’t get Android updates on time, despite the fact that we heard it would get Gingerbread. Well, earlier this year at MWC, Sony Ericsson announced several new devices which includes the Xperia Arc, Xperia Neo, Xperia Pro and Xperia Play, and last week they announced the next generation Xperia Mini and Xperia Mini Pro. Now it seems that Sony Ericsson is looking to launch some more new Android devices. Two new SE phones have leaked and their codenames are “ST18i” and “CK15i”. There are no specs of either device, but the word on the street is that the ST18i comes with an 854 x 480 resolution display, Gingerbread, an 8 MP camera and ARM Cortex-A8 1GHz processor. Well, the specs are satisfying I think, and it looks like a mid-range Android device to me.

The second one, the CK15i, comes with a 240 x 400 3.3-inch display and a slide-up keyboard. That’s all we know about it, but my guess is that it will also feature Gingerbread, as all new SE Android devices being equipped with latest version of Android.

Well folks, that’s all the news we have for now on these new leaked devices. Hopefully, they’ll be out later this summer. So, is anyone looking forward to them? Leave a comment below! We look forward to your feedback!

The new Sony Ericsson devices are great additions to the Sony ‘corporate’ roadmap of getting corporate customers and mid-range consumers who are, by definition, one of the same. The next generation of mid-range to premium-range phones for Android in 2011 look really cool.
