Samsung Hercules Outdoes Infuse, Headed to T-Mobile?

Despite their potential buyout, I’m very impressed with T-Mobile as of late. First they announced the HTC Sensation, and then we got a look at their 2011 roadmap yesterday, which included the MyTouch 4G Slide, Samsung Exhibit 4G, and something titled the “Samsung Hercules”. Well, we’re learning more about the Hercules, and it’s shaping up to be an impressive device. Let’s not waste time and just get right down into the specs, shall we? The Hercules is said to be packing a rather large 4,5-inch Super AMOLED Plus screen, Gingerbread, NFC capabilities, 16GB of ROM, 1GB of RAM, a MicroSD card slot, and an 8MP rear camera with an LED flash and 1080p HD video capture, along with a front-facing camera.

The Hercules really catches my eye because of something not mentioned above, though. The Hercules will not only have full HSPA+ support, giving it access to Tmo’s 42MBps network, but it’ll be powered by a 1.2GHz dual core processor. I have a feeling that a few Infuse 4G owners are getting jealous right about now.

There’s no word on a release date for the Hercules, but it’s set for approval in August, so hopefully that September 26th launch date we saw in the leaked roadmap won’t be too far off. So, who’s excited for this killer device? Anyone planning to pick one up once it drops? Leave a comment (or two) below!

I actually want this phone more than the galaxy s2 but it’s too far down the road to wait. That’s just too bad. I guess I will have to settle for .2 inches less. Lol.
