Winamp Celebrates 4 Million Downloads with New Release

Since its debut in December AOL’s Winamp application for Android has notched more than 4 million downloads. To help celebrate, the company is releasing a new version (1.1) to the Android Market which now features free music support through Spinner’s MP3 of the Day as well as full album streaming through AOL’s CD Listening Party (CDLP). Additionally, the app now has improved SHOUTcast & streaming playback, a new home screen, and enhanced navigation and interaction.

Winamp is a free download for Android 2.1 or higher and supports 14 languages.

If you have any ReplayTVs on your home network, don’t install WinAmp on your Android phone.  It does something to the network which will cause the ReplayTVs to reboot continuously.
