U.S. Cellular Pledges Another Seven Android 2.3 Smart Phones, HTC Tablet for 2011
U.S. Cellular just let loose with their device lineup as it looks for the remainder of the year, and there’s plenty of Android to go ’round. The carrier is looking to debut no less than seven Android smart phone and at least one 7-inch tablet from HTC over the next few months. Presumably, this is the HTC Flyer.
While they didn’t spill all of the beans just yet, we do know they’ll be offering two HTC Gingebread-powered handsets in the fall. At least one dual-core Motorola smart phone will figure into the equation, bringing a 4.3-inch display along for the ride. LG gets some love too as one of their”slimmest and lightest” handsets with a 4-inch display and 1GHz processor is on the agenda. Optimus Black, perhaps? And finally, U.S. Cellular also plans to release their first 4G handset in November, although the hardware maker remains unclear.
We’re not sure who the other tablet maker is, nor which model it might be. However, if we were throwing darts right now, we’d put a Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 in the bullseye.
We’ll only be too happy to bring the news on a case-by-case basis, announcing prices, specs, and the fun stuff you’re looking for.
