The Boy Genius Report is advising today that the “Facebook phone” HTC ChaCha will be getting a very Facebook-like (See what we did there?) name when it comes to AT&T.  According to their sources, the phone will be called the HTC Status once it arrives stateside.  We’re digging the name and think it would make for a good smart phone title regardless of a Facebook tie-in.

In a related note, BGR is also advising that the other Facebook phone, the HTC Salsa will not hit AT&T any time soon, if at all.  While their intel could prove true, this contradicts what we heard when the phones were announced back at Mobile World Congress.  More details on either phone as we can gather it!
