Tag Heuer’s Link Phone Brings Hefty Price Tag of $6,712
Are you the flashy type? Tag Heuer has just announced their first phone, the Link. I’ll start by saying this phone retails for $6,712. Yes, that’s six thousand, not six hundred. So what could be so special about this phone that it costs nearly seven grand, you ask? Well, lets talk about the “amazing” specs:
- 3.5” Screen
- 5 megapixel camera, with auto focus!
- 256 MB internal memory
- 8 GB SD card
- 1400 mAh battery
If you couldn’t tell from my sarcastic remarks, this phone is nothing special. It’s actually the opposite and starts to fall into the “mid-range” Android device category. What’s makes the Link so expensive is what the phone is made out of:
- 18K rose gold or titanium (buyer’s choice)
- Alligator skin
- Lizard skin (yes, lizard skin)
- And diamond accents to top it all off
Apparently this phone will come rooted when you buy it. Tag Heuer did not mention this but in the promotion video, (as seen below) the phone has an application called Superuser, an application that’s popular among rooted devices.
So, does this phone look cool, or is it just a waste of money? Leave your comments below or on our Facebook Wall. Also, be sure to check out the promo video below.
Tip: Pause the video at 1:18 to see the Superuser application
