Verizon Leak Shows Droid 2 Global & Droid 3 Goodies
We haven’t heard much about the Droid 3 so far, but it looks like that’s about to change. A leaked Verizon document is giving some juicy info on the Droid 3, and it’s pretty impressive so far. It’ll be sporting a 4-inch qHD display, 1GHz dual-core processor, 8MP camera with 1080p video capture, front-facing camera, 16GB of internal storage, a slide-out 5-row QWERTY keyboard, and (wait for it) global capabilities. Pretty snazzy, no? Sadly, the Droid 3 is missing LTE connectivity, but maybe that would’ve interfered with the international capabilities.
Now, for those of you sporting a Droid 2 Global, we’ve also got some news on your Gingerbread update. If you look at the bottom of the document, the first footnote says “Android 2.3 expected to be available after Droid 3 launch”. So, it looks like you’ll have to wait for the Droid 3 to hit shelves before you get some 2.3 love. Of course, it’s Motorola, so what did you expect?
So, anyone excited for the Droid 3? Upset you’re not getting your Gingerbread update right away? Drop a comment below, or on our Facebook Wall!
