ASUS EeePad Transformer 3G Lands in Italy, Coming Soon to UK and USA

ASUS EeePad Transformer is probably one of the best Android tablets available in the market at the moment and currently several retailers are offering it in USA. However, right now the Wi-Fi version is all that is available around the globe.  Happy with sales so far, ASUS is releasing the 3G version of the tablet.  Unfortunately,  the Transformer 3G is exclusive to Italy at the moment.  It’s expected that it will hit UK and USA in August, so hopefully we will see it soon.

ASUS Italy is currently offering two variants of it, 16GB and 32GB version. 16GB is available for 499 Euros including VAT and 32GB is available for 599 Euros including VAT. After converting into Dollars, 599 Euro is almost $850 and 499 is around $710, that’s kinda pricey but you have to lose some to get some. Other specs are just like the non-3G version.

To refresh your memory, EeePad Transformer comes with a 10.1-inch screen with 1280 x 800 resolution, 1 GHz Nvidia Tegra II processor, 1GB of RAM, a 5MP camera and a 1.2MP front camera, WiFi and the SIM card slot is on the left side, and it’s running on Android 3.1. I hope this tablet will be hitting USA and UK region soon, so anyone looking forward to it?

It’s worth noting the prices of the current Tansformer models in different markets, as a direct currency conversion is worthless.  16GB Wifi = 379 Euro / 399 USD.

    Really, it won’t be $850.

No need to get Transformer 3G. Just do tethering with your 3G phone. Besides saving on the hardware, it also saves you monthly charges for a data plan!!!

the writer couldn’t  be more incorrect on the pricing part !

It will be abt USD 499 and USD 599 in the US .I am pretty damn sure

also Using ur phone via Bluetooth with a tablet has some disadvantages ..mainly  the drain of the phone battery upon pairing..not sure how that would affect tablet battery life either

The Asus Transfomer is a real star ..and the 3G just adds to the glow

wonder if they have ne plans for a 300 USD 7inch 3G tablet !

The Phone with the planned Asus Padfone is an amazing standalone phone in itself  too
