HTC Droid Incredible 2 Poised to Get Gingerbread Soon

Verizon appears to be readying the Android 2.3 Gingerbread update for yet another one of their smart phones, the Droid Incredible 2.  Released back in late April, the update comes almost as quickly as we’d hoped. Details in the 2.18.605.4 build include (PDF) improvements to email, connectivity, stability, copy/paste, and more.  In other words, it’s a lot like other maintenance releases except that it tastes like Gingerbread.

It’s hard to say for sure when the update will go into effect but we’re guessing within the next few weeks at the longest.  Usually these types of things happen pretty quickly once they are discovered online.
