Motorola Triumph Available on Virgin Mobile for $299
If you’ve been looking for an Android device, cheap plans and no contract, you’re in luck. Virgin Mobile is offering up the Motorola Triumph for $299 with no contract required. The phone itself will be sporting a 4.1″ screen, 1GHz processor, 512 MB of external memory (32GB expandable), 5MP rear camera with a front-facing VGA camera for video chat, 720p HD camcorder with HDMI output and wait for it… Android 2.2!?
Okay, so it’s running Froyo, and looking at the specs it doesn’t seem like that great of a deal, but don’t forget there’s no contract and you get to choose from one of Virgin Mobile’s reasonably priced plans:
The Motorola Triumph will also be the first Virgin Mobile phone to come preloaded with Virgin Mobile Live 2.0 social networking music application for those of you into that sort of thing (otherwise it’s just bloatware). If you’ve been looking to save some money and ditch the headaches of being tied to a contract, this may be a viable option for you.
