Samsung Executive: Galaxy S II Arrives in U.S. “Sometime in August”
For those of us living in the United States, the hotly anticipated Samsung Galaxy S II looks to be just a few weeks away. Speaking to reporters today, Samsung’s president of mobile business and digital imaging, Shin Jong-kyun , said the company plans to release it in the US “sometime in August”. If international sales are any indication, the Android-powered super phone will do very well for itself once our carriers launch their respective variations.
The Galaxy S II runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread and features superior hardware in the form of a dual-core 1.2 GHz processor, 8-megapixel camera, and a gorgeous 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Plus display. The current rumors peg Verizon’s iteration as the Function, Sprint getting the Within and AT&T picking up the Attain.
