Samsung Galaxy Skin Concept Spotted, Confuses and Amazes Us

Back at CES, we got a sneak peek at Samsung’s flexible AMOLED screens. Well, we’re finally seeing them take shape (see what I did there?) with the “Samsung Galaxy Skin”, a concept phone that blew our minds when we first laid eyes on it. Now, at the moment it’s just a concept. It may turn in to an actual device sometime down the road, but for now it’s merely something for us to marvel at.

The Skin sports a 4-inch Super AMOLED, 800 x 480 resolution display, an 8MP camera with 720HD video capture, and a projector. We’re guessing it’s packing a 1GHz Hummingbird processor as well, but we may never actually see this device hit shelves, so it’s not like it matters.

We have to give the designer, Heyon You, credit. While only a concept, this is putting Sammy’s technology to use in an efficient and awesome way. So, who else is impressed by the Galaxy Skin? Anyone hoping it comes to the States as an actual device? Drop a comment below!

Yeah, let’s just hope they can actually release it first… rather than wait for some dumb fruit company to do it first to “show us how it’s done”

Don’t put it in your pocket, you can wrap it around your wrist and use it as a watch 😀

I’m sure the phone’s not going to droop away from your ear. They’ll probably have some support on the sides of the screen that can be bent to give the phone both flexibility and stability.

Let’s hope “the dumb fruit company” actually does it first to set the pace for these things…

What do you mean? Samsung could do it first and set the pace for their own invention!

Lets see Apple say that Samsung is copying the iphone with that one.  Don’t get me wrong, I think apple products are incredible I just hate the company it’s self and their culture.  I would give hard earned cash to get one of those.  How much you wanna bet that AT&T gets it and Verizon doesn’t?  Shame.  Want, Want, Want!!!

Damn. this looks good… now if they would only have put their transparent display in it. It would be even more awesome. I’d say: Produce… NOW!

Are you all bind? Can’t you see that they are just trying to get money for something so stupid an unnecessary. You will probably be spending 100-200 dollars extra for the flexibility alone.
