T-Mobile USA Now Rolling Out Android 2.3 Update for T-Mobile G2X
Back in March, T-Mobile officially launched the G2X, a variant of LG Optimus 2X and the world’s first ever dual-core smartphone. Unfortunately for some, the G2x was released with Android 2.2 and not the latest version. Now after a period of almost 3 months, T-Mobile is finally rolling out Android 2.3 update for G2X. The over-the-air update began on July 25 keep an eye out for an update notification.
Here are the new features in the update:
- Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) OS
- Improved battery life
- Improved front-facing camera operation when using Qik record and share
- Improved disabling Car Home
- Helps address unexpected reboots
