Verizon to Debut Entry-Level LG Enlighten August 25th?

Look, it’s not that we’re complaining here.  At all.  But, boy does Verizon have a lot of Android on the horizon. Based on the latest rumors and leaks, we can add yet another device to the growing list of Android handsets expected out of Big Red.

Assuming the information proves to be accurate we should be on the lookout for the LG Enlighten, an entry-level sliding QWERTY, come August 25th.  Specifications for this Android 2.3 Gingerbread handset include an 800MHz processor, 150MB internal storage, 3.2-inch display,  3.2-megapixel camera, and 3G support.  Of course you also have the other requisite Android stuff in Bluetooth, GPS, Wi-Fi, and microSD card expansion, too.

We can imagine this doesn’t appeal to you seasoned Android veterans, however we bet your nephew might cool with this as his first smart phone.  Don’t expect much in the way cost for the LG Enlighten when it’s announced, presumably in the next few weeks.
