GetJar CMO Heads to Google as Marketing Director for Mobile Applications

GetJar CMO Patrick Mork announced yesterday that he will be leaving the company behind and taking a position at Google.  Mork will become Google’s marketing director for mobile applications come September and we can’t wait for his impact to be felt.  As one who is not shy in his opinion or as someone who backs down easily, we’re all for him pushing the Android agenda forward.

According to Patrick Mork, GetJar has a number of improvements and new products to unveil over the next few month and should do quite well without him.  The GetJar staff has grown from less than ten employees in 2008 to more than fifty today so things are looking up.
