Gingerbread OTA Update Rolling Out for HTC Inspire 4G

Looks like another batch of warm Gingerbread is going out, this time it’s rolling out to HTC Inspire 4G owners on AT&T. Keep your eyes peeled for a notification or if you wish to speed things up just go to Home > Menu > Settings > AT&T Software Update > HTC Wi-Fi software update > Check now. If it’s still not showing, you can always manually update by following the directions on the HTC Inspire 4G support page (do a backup first!). This update provides Inspire 4G owners with Android 2.3.3 (Gingerbread) along with:

  • New HTC Sense™ features – Updated Application Tray features, Updated FriendStream™ features, Added Quick Settings in the Notifications window
  • Improved Power Management function
  • Improved media experience
  • Various minor bug fixes

after i installed the new update this afternoon, i can’t seem to find the “blocked callers” app that came pre-installed on my inspire… anyone have a clue as to where it went… is it gone?

Streaming video is slower and buffers a lot more now, there are lines in the app tab to “break” up the page and are totally unnecessary. There is a new bar at the bottom of the app page which again is unnecessary- I don’t need to see my favorite apps- if i like them- they’re already on one of the pages on my phone!!!! Every time i stream video it asks if i want to play it or save it. PLAY IT DAmmit!! It doesn’t automatically defalut to my home page when i open a new window in internet… THis update is not good!!!!

I just switched from an Iphone 4 to the HTC inspire 4g. After I added the update my Android Market went back to the old style instead of the new style. How do I get it back to the new version of the Android Market????
