HTC Ruby Spied with T-Mobile Branding

The Pocketnow team has obtained a picture of a new HTC handset which is expected to carry the name of Ruby. We can tell from the image that this phone will be offered by T-Mobile when it ultimately arrives. HTC recently indicated that they would be releasing an additional 6-8 phones over the remainder of 2011 so this is expected to be one of those.

A  leaked T-Mobile roadmap from back in May indicated that there were two HTC devices listed with undetermined launch dates – HTC Bresson and HTC G-Infinity. It’s possible that the Ruby is one of these two and that one codename has replaced another.

T-Mobile and HTC have been pretty consistent in the way they present their collaborations, often replacing the search button with a Genius button. This handset does not look to follow in that tradition, however we still dig the design.

Actually, they only replace the search button with the Genius button on the myTouch series. The G1 and G2 were made by HTC, and no Genius button. Same with the Sensation.
