[Update]YouTube App for Android Updated, New Uploading UI and More...

The official YouTube App for Android has been updated to version 2.2.14. This update is primarily focused around video uploading as it includes a new uploading UI along with the ability to edit title, description and privacy of uploaded videos. Great additions for those mobile YouTubers out there just itching to upload more cat videos. Aside from the uploading features, users can now create, edit, and delete playlists all from the palm of their hands. Convenience, convenience, convenience… along with customary bug fixes, and voila — YouTube 2.2.14 for Android. Head on over to the Android Market to get the latest update and please, for the love of all things feline, leave those poor cats alone.

UPDATE: It appears quite a few people are experiencing problems since updating (just read through the reviews) so you may want to err on the side of caution with this one.

UPDATE #2: YouTube has pushed out another update to fix the problems causes by the original update. Give it a go and let us know how it’s working.

Watch out. I installed this last night and my audio stopped after 4 seconds of video. Lots of reviews say the same thing.

What device are you using so others can be aware?

Sorry about the vagueness. Had a meeting to hit and was on my way out of the office.

If you have audio issue, let it buffer and then move the time pointer backwards a few and play again. Audio magically returned. But if you move the time pointer forward, no audio. Go try and let me know.

So I’ve updated to the latest version (Xperia Arc) and my widget disappeared.  I went to replace it but get the message that the home screen is full.  When I long press on the space where the widget used to be, I get the usual pop up asking what I want to put there, but when I go to replace the widget, again I am told that the homescreen is full.
I’ve uninstalled the update, and cleared the cache…all to no avail. I’ve rebooted many times and in the end I am still left with the same issue, all which started when I updated YouTube.
Any thoughts as to how I can reset this issue?  I really, really , REALLY don’t want to factory reset my phone.

Try to find your Sony Ericsson Home Screen App under Settings > Applications > Manage Applications > All (tab) > Sony Ericsson Home Screen

Clear the data and cache and I believe you will reset your Home Screen which should fix the problem. Only problem then is you will have to reset your Home Screen the way you had it before clearing it. Let me know if that works.
