Target Ad for Week of 8/14 Features Android Deals (Iconia a500, HTC Status, More)
Target has a decent set of Android deals starting this coming Sunday which include a trio of handsets and one tablet. If you’ve been thinking about picking up that Facebook phone, the HTC Status, is on sale for the ever attractive price of free. Normally retailing for $29.99 with contract, it’s a modest savings for new and eligible AT&T subscribers.
The Samsung Intercept is available for $149.99 making the no-contract Virgin Mobile handset a bargain. It’s not everyday that you can get a phone with these specs (800MHz processor, 3.2-inch display, 3.2-megapixel camera) at this price, without commitment.
The HTC Inspire typically sells for $79.99 but this next week will see the price shaved down to $49.99 with qualified contracts. Specs include Android 2.2, an 8-megapixel camera, and a sharp 4.3-inch display.
The real Android bargain to be had this week will be the Acer Iconia a500 tablet, which ends up only costing $299 if you count the $100 Target gift card. However, be prepared to bring $399.99 and tax to the store if you’re looking for the 10.1-inch Honeycomb tablet with 16GB storage, 5-megapixel camera, and support for Wi-Fi, USB, and microHDMI. Although it comes loaded with Android 3.0 version of Honeycomb, Acer’s Facebook page indicates that 3.2 is due by month’s end.
Quantities are limited for the various devices so be sure to call ahead to see the one you want is in stock.
