Firefox for Android Gets Refreshed Interface, New Developer Tools

Mozilla has released an update to their popular mobile browser, Firefox for Android.  Your normal everyday user will notice a new-look, refreshed interface with a more streamlined experience that falls closer in line with general Android aesthetics.  Changes include a new landing page, reduced pixelation, faster zooming, and more crisp text.  Developers will be pleased to learn of new APIs and tools to help create great mobile websites and web applications.

The new release is part of Mozilla’s planned ‘rapid release’ schedule which expects to deliver ‘new features, performance improvements and security updates’ to users every six weeks.  One such release should see additional tablet optimization, welcome news to Honeycomb fans.
