Android 2.3.4 OTA for T-Mobile’s HTC Sensation 4G now Rolling Out

HTC device updates are really on a roll. First we saw the European Sensation get updated, then the EVO 3D and now Android 2.3.4 has begun rolling out to T-Mobile’s HTC Sensation 4G. The OTA rollout will begin today and continue on through the following weeks until finally completed sometime late September. There’s no guarantee as to how fast the update will make it to your device but rest assured it will be coming. So what features and improvements are coming with the Android 2.3.4 update? Let’s take a look:

  • Software stability
  • Improved battery life
  • Improvements to Trace dictionary
  • Improvements to screen responsiveness
  • Improvements to video playback
  • Improvements regarding device reboot / power off
  • Improvements to icon pixilation
  • Improvements to Wi-Fi connection
  • Improvements to screen/photo resolution

Let’s not forget both the European Sensation and the U.S. EVO 3D updates were soon followed with support for unlocking their bootloaders. I’d bet the Sensation 4G follows suit with “Unlock Bootloader” support within the next couple of days over at htcdev.com. HTC has really been on the ball with their promise of updates and dev tools, can’t wait to see what they hit us with next. At least I know what T-Mobile HTC Sensation 4G owners will be doing for the next couple of weeks:

I got it for my sense of T-Mobile this july. The WiFi is stronger now instantly and stays connected better. I was having big problems with this before the update. I can not say even if the battery life is better, but this was an issue as well.
