Qik Premium Service for Android Users

Qik Video has been around for a while now, allowing Android users to video chat and record/share videos for free right from their devices. Now users can enhance their Qik experience with the premium service formerly only available to users of its iOS counterpart. The new service comes with a free 30 day trial for those who prefer not to dive straight into another monthly payout, costing $4.99/month thereafter. You’ll get some pretty decent new features for your cash though, so for those of you who just cannot share enough of your home video antics with the entire world, here’s what’s on offer:

  • Qik desktop – a new video-management suite, allowing for auto syncing of all your videos to your computer, where you can manage and organise your videos into “collections” and share them through your social network of choice
  • Anytime video mail – send and receive video mail anytime (non-paying users can only receive)
  • Unlimited video downloads and storage
  • Gallery uploads – upload all your videos to your Qik account to manage and share
  • HD (720p) and 3D video recording – for capable devices
  • Priority support – dedicated support email address for fast response
Qik users can upgrade to premium directly through the app by downloading the latest version from the Android Market.

So, what do you think? Will you be getting a Qik (get it?) out of this soon?

(I apologise for my incredibly cheesy and unfunny joke, I feel ashamed of myself)
