Motorola Tweet Confirms Droid Bionic for September 8

A tweet from the Official Motorola Droid Bionic Twitter account has confirmed yesterday that September 8th will be the release date for the long-awaited handset.  Of course we’ll likely get a full-on press announcement in the next few days as Motorola and Verizon really want to make sure this thing succeeds.  A simple tweet is not enough to get the hype machine rolling so we look for Big Red to issue something in the next couple of days.  Given we’re already seeing advertisements online for the Bionic, we’re expecting a huge push for the phone.

I love the way you pass on rumors as if they were fact.  Shouldn’t you verify that the twitter account is valid before telling others that it is so?
