Verizon Says Droid Bionic Twitter Account Isn’t Official

Earlier today we learned┬áthat the Droid Bionic would be dropping on September 8th, as seen in a tweet from @DroidBionic. As it turns out, this Twitter account is not affiliated with either Verizon or Motorola. What exactly does that mean? Basically, the September 8th date may or may not be true, but it didn’t come from an official source. We’re not exactly sure where that leaves us, but rest assured that the Droid Bionic Twitter page is not official, so anything that comes from that account might not be correct or accurate.

As for the Bionic itself, the Verizon site still lists September as a launch period, but no official date as of yet. We’ll just have to keep out eyes open for more information. So, who’s excited about the Bionic? Does anyone follow that Droid Bionic Twitter page? Drop a comment below!

I've been an Android fanboy since day one, but I've never had a chance to truly express my voice and be a part of the Android Community. When AndroidGuys starting accepting applications for interns, I saw my opportunity. I joined the AndroidGuys team and haven't looked back!

    I did follow…till I read this. :(

I’m still excited about Bionics release, but am concerned if it doesn’t drop 9/8 as “expected”. Original Droid is on its last leg so if Bionic doesn’t drop…I’m gonna have to WASTE an upgrade on something else. :o(

Personally, I hope it is delayed again…that will make it easier to wait and see what the Prime looks like.
