10-inch Amazon Tablet Not Expected Until After Q1 2012 (Rumor)

Amazon, long rumored to be prepping a pair of Android-based tablets for this fall, may actually be dropping only one in 2011. According to new details out of DigiTimes, the dual-core 7-inch ‘Coyote’ tablet is still on track for this year however the quad-core 10-inch ‘Hollywood’ is not expected to go into production until the first quarter. The new report says that Amazon will actually be using Foxconn (of Apple fame) to build the larger tablet and not Quanta. As for the 7-inch tablet, we’re advised that it might only be a few weeks off. DigiTimes advises that we can look forward to an October release.
