Sony Taking Pre-Orders for Tablet S, Shipping Starts September 16

Sony has officially started taking pre-orders for their Tablet S through their own website as well as through various retail outlets.  Expected to start shipping on September 16th in the United States, the 16GB version retails for $499 whereas the 32GB version goes for $599. The Tablet S runs Android 3.1 and features a 9.4-inch display, a dual-core NVIDIA Tegra 2 CPU, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and full-size SD card slot.  Sony also has a number of accessories listed as being available for pre-order, including a Bluetooth keyboard ($69.99) and leather case ($99.99).

As of today there is still no indication as to when we might see the Tablet P go up for sale however it is expected before the end of the year.
