Taito Releases Space Invaders Infinity Gene

Taito, the guys behind the ridiculously popular Space Invaders, released a new iteration of the classic title on Android this week.  Called Space Invaders Infinity Gene, it’s an evolved version of the 1978 title, with an almost choose-your-own-adventure feel to it.  In other words, the more you play, the more the game changes.  What’s more, the further you get into the game, the more it falls in line with today’s popular space shooters.  Space Invaders Infinity Gene (v1.0.0) runs $4.99 US and can be downloaded on phones running Android 2.1 or higher.  Sorry tablet owners, you’re out of luck for now.
