Sony Ericsson Nozomi to Feature Ice Cream Sandwich, Launch Next Year

The Sony Ericsson Xperia series consists of some good Android handsets, not to forget the beautiful and stylish Xperia ARC. Last month, we first heard about the SE Nozomi which will be another addition to the Sony Ericsson smartphone line. We heard that Nozomi will come with Android 2.3 and some other high end specs, but now, some rumors are claiming that it will be an Ice Cream Sandwich device, probably the first from Sony Ericsson. What’s new is that Nozomi will also feature a dual-core processor instead of single core, and there’s also a 720p display. All these hot rumors are coming from IT68 forums and it’s rumored to be launching next year. Now that’s too long of a wait.

Other rumored specs include a huge 4.3 inch display with 1280×720 resolution. This means Nozomi’s display should be vivid and crisp and I am sure it will also feature the Sony BRAVIA engine, which will make it even better. It will also feature a 12 MP camera, 1GB RAM, 32 GB internal storage, microSD card and 1750 mAh battery. I hope the phone isn’t going to cost an arm and a leg to users, because phones with a few amazing specs usually end up having an expensive price tag.

We might see this device sometime in January of next year. In the meantime, we’re sure to see a lot of other new devices, but you die-hard Sony Ericsson fans might just want to wait for the Nozomi. Anyway readers, share your thoughts with us in the comment box below.
