R-Type Arrives in Android Market

As promised last month, the 80’s arcade classic R-Type has arrived in the Android Market.  Featuring eight levels, three control options, and a pair of difficulty levels, the game instantly ports us back to the days of hanging around at Aladdin’s Castle.  Like its first go ’round, each level offers its own enemies and unique bosses, power-ups, and the famous “charge shot”.  R-Type costs $2.99 and works on Android 2.1 devices and higher (including tablets) and is also optimized to run on Xperia PLAY.

    I have an Xperia Play and I want to play it but I cant buy anything from the android market in Saudi Arabia :(

    This came out just in time for my birthday. Thanks to the developers for including Xperia Play support. I’ve barely been able to put this down all day!
