The Android tablet price wars kick into a higher gear next week as the Archos G9 series of Honeycomb tablets go up for pre-sale. Available in two size options, the prices start at a very reasonable $299 (8-inch/8GB) and max out at $469.99 (10-inch/250GB). This marks the first time that Archos tablets have a cutting-edge version of Android (3.2) and feature access to the Android Market. Archos has a pretty solid history in personal tech and our gut tells us that they should do quite well for themselves come this holiday buying season. Let’s just hope this thing is marketed properly and offered in a number of retail channels.
