BSQUARE Announces Qualcomm DragonBoard Tool for Developers

BSQUARE and Qualcomm today announced the general availability of DragonBoard, an Android development platform based on the Qualcomm APQ8060 Snapdragon S3 processor. In a nutshell, the DragonBoard is an exposed board that mimics the performance of the platform and comes with a sensor daughter card and RF (WiFi and Bluetooth) daughter card. Further, the $299 carrier board comes with a large number of test points and connectors (JTAG, Ethernet, mini-USB, etc). In other words, it’s all the tools one would need to develop and test for the Snapdragon 3 family. A separate peripheral kit is also available ($199) which adds a battery, earphone, 1MP/5MP camera and a 480×800 dislpay/touchscreen.
