Create and Broadcast Your Own Channels of Interest with OneLouder’s ChannelCaster
OneLouder, the developers behind the super-popular TweetCaster, FriendCaster, and SportsCaster are back with another spectacular title. The app is called ChannelCaster and it lets users create and broadcast personalized channels using a number of sources.
Let’s say you want to share your love of the Green Bay Packers. Create a channel which combines news from sports websites, Twitter, YouTube, traditional media outlets and more. Once you’ve got it all set up, you can share it with the masses, if you so desire. Otherwise, just create a bunch of channels based around your favorite subjects and keep it to yourself. Access your Facebook news feed, pull up weather, stock prices, and anything else that tickles your fancy. Why bother hitting RSS feeds, then browsing Flickr, then Twitter, and then Facebook when you can knock it out in one place?
“There are millions of people around the world producing an endless stream of news, information, and entertainment through social networks and other media sources every day,” said Evan Conway, President, OneLouder. “ChannelCaster is a community delivering a new way to easily discover, mash and share the vast amount of news and entertainment based on topics of interest.”
ChannelCaster is an Android exclusive title so you won’t find this on any other platform. It’s a free download for anything running 1.6 or higher and this does include tablets. In fact, the app looks extremely nice on Honeycomb devices!
