LG Optimus Slider Hitting Virgin Mobile via BestBuy

Remember that LG Optimus Slider we saw in July with Sprint branding on it? Well, it seems that Sprint has passed the device over to its little cousin Virgin Mobile, a subsidiary of Sprint Nextel Co, and they will be launching it in the U.S. soon. The device has already popped up on BestBuy’s website and was labeled as ‘coming soon’ but has since been removed. Interested folks will be able to get this device for $199.99 without any contract from Virgin. The Slider will feature Android 2.3, a 3.2 inch display, 3 MP camera and other common features.

LG is offering a good line of cheap phones in the U.S. and when it comes to Android, their Optimus series is the best. If you can’t afford the Optimus 2X, then try your luck with the Optimus Slider and I am sure this device will satisfy your needs. We’re not sure when this device is going to hit stores, but it looks like BestBuy will have an exclusive launch before it eventually hits Virgin Mobile stores. So who’s planning to grab the Optimus Slider, anyone?
